When Summer Ends, Life Speeds Up

When Summer Ends, Life Speeds Up

There's something about the first week of school.

Overnight, the house gets quieter.

The calendar gets louder.

Summer vacations quietly give way to homework, football practice, business travel, networking breakfasts, and calendars that suddenly have no empty spaces left.

Cozy living room with beige sofa, wooden coffee table, and three framed family portraits above the couch.

It's not just families.

Around this same time every year, I start hearing from businesses that have grown over the summer. New hires. New promotions. New marketing materials. Before long, websites, business cards, and LinkedIn profiles all need to match the people clients are actually meeting.

Much like family portraits, it's easier to plan before everyone's schedule fills up again.

Every season has its own rhythm.

Summer invites us to slow down.

Fall reminds us just how quickly life fills the calendar.

Every year someone tells me, "We meant to schedule this back in September." Somehow it's nearly December by the time we have that conversation.

Whether you're planning a family portrait before the holidays or welcoming new faces to your business, a little planning now usually makes everything easier later.

If you'd like to start planning, I'd be happy to help.
