So, what about me?
I'm a husband and father of three wonderful children (that are now grown) that I couldn't be more proud of. You'll find that I have a very relaxed demeanor and my humor is a bit on the goofy and sarcastic side. (I blame the goofy side on my granddaddy!) Just don't let my goofy side fool you because my focus is preserving your family history through photographic artwork.
I enjoy a few cups of coffee every morning. In fact, I try to find local coffee houses to meet at because I like trying new things and it's a nice relaxing atmosphere to chat with my clients. With all the technology of text, email, Messenger, Skype, etc, I find that a face to face conversation is still the best way to connect and share ideas and dreams.
So what do I do besides photograph people and places? Most of the time I'm binge watching a show or reading whatever caught my interest at the local library. During the school year, I do a lot of work for a company that specialized in school sports and fine art photography. It's during these times that I love to explore and find new locations for clients, whether current or prospective. In fact, it was during a drill team session that I located an area that I've used for a number of senior and engagement sessions.
I've lived the majority of my life in the Houston area, with a few exceptions. One of those exceptions was living for a year in Mexico City while in grade school. A little Kodak 126 camera went with me on every field trip and family trip that we took and I haven't stopped since. There's always a few personal side projects that I'm working on, but portraiture photography is what I find challenging and inspiring. The people and their personalities that I meet along the way are what make every session unique and memorable.
Now let's talk about your session and what you want to create. As an "on location" photographer, it's your story, your personality, and what you want to share in your portrait that interests me. What makes you you. Every client is unique and special to me. You and I will sit down and have a complimentary consultation wherever is convenient for you, whether it's a coffee shop or our home or office, and over some samples and pricing. Once the portraits are ready, we'll meet to review and decide what best fits your final portraits.
I really emphasize the importance of being a photographic artist and want you to have an heirloom to treasure for generations. Being a full-service photographer, everything from heritage albums to installing custom framed portraits and wall art is offered. Portraits always come ready to hang, whether framed, on canvas, wood panel, or floating metal panel. I cover the Houston/Galveston metro and upper Texas Gulf coast, but am available for travel.
Whatever questions you have, feel free to call, text, or email and I'll be more than happy to let you know how I work. The nature of working on site is that I'm not always able to answer a call but if I'm working with a client and can't answer right away, just leave a message and I'll get back with you promptly. Then we can talk about what I can create for you.
