Where are you located?
I work primarily on location, so you could say that my studio is wherever you need it to be. Whether that may be outdoors, at your home or work, or at a specific locale. Houston also has a great photography community with several studios specifically available for rental.
What happens if we need to reschedule because of weather or an emergency?
For any portrait session, if we have to reschedule, I always put the client first. We will look at what is the next available time that is convenient for everyone and I move the appointment. There is no rescheduling fee. Your prepaid session fee is a credit in your name for when we do your session.
For weddings and other events, in the event of cancellation or postponement of the event, the retainer fee is non-refundable. If your new date is available, I will apply your retainer to the new date.
What should we wear?
Wear what you are comfortable in and, by all means, what best represents you. In general, I recommend that clients stay with solid colors. Bold patterns and designs tend to be busy and distracting. You want people to see your faces first, not the striped dress or the logo brand on a shirt.
So, after our session, how do we view our portraits?
For portrait sessions, usually about a week after the session, we view your images on your TV via an HDMI cable and laptop. This is the awesome part when you get to kick back and watch a slideshow of your best images. Bring along anybody who might have a part in the decision making process with you since this is when you will decide which images will be printed and what products you would like to order. At the end of your order session, you pay the first half of your balance. You can pay the other half when I deliver the finished order to you. Turn around time is usually 4-6 weeks, depending on which products were purchased.
For my wedding couples, images are usually ready about 3-6 weeks after your wedding day. We will sit down for your slide show with your families and review options for your wedding album and product credits. Afterwards, your online gallery will be opened and you can sent the link to other friends, family, and other guests that you want to share them with.
Are our images retouched?
All ordered images are professionally retouched before being presented to my clients. Skin, stray hairs, and blemishes are retouched, but I also want you to look like you. Of course, if something like an exit sign or power lines were unavoidable, those will be removed.
How do we get digital files?
I do sell high resolution retouched images with a print release. All finished artwork includes a digital copy of your retouched ordered images for sharing online and viewing on your mobile devices. For weddings, all collections include images retouched, high resolution on a thumb drive.
How do I book a session?
That's easy! Let's talk! Call or email me to schedule your complimentary consultation. We can go over your design ideas, products that I offer, and pricing. Once we get the details of your session decided on, your session fee is required to book your date.
For weddings, a retainer of 25% and a signed wedding agreement are required to schedule your wedding coverage. This is applied to the balance of your collection, with the balance due 30 days before the wedding day.
